Melanie Amaro’s debut single has The X Factor!

It’s finally here! The X Factor 2011 winner Melanie Amaro has just released her heavily anticipated first single, “Don’t Fail Me Now,” from her debut album set to be released later this year. Listen to it right here!

L.A. Reid calls Amaro “A proven champion who is destined for success.” If her first single is any indication of what’s to come, it’s safe to say L.A. might want to clear off some more wall space to make room for more platinum plaques!

In the song, written by the talented Livvi Franc and famed produced Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Amaro sings about her tumultuous road to stardom. Lyrics like “I see you in the distance/it won’t be long before you’re mine,” illustrates the fierce determination that has got her to where she is.

The dance-track succeeds in showcasing Amaro’s versatility, and her bright musical future. As Simon Cowell tells US Magazine, "She's someone who can sell records all over the world, and I think she's got longevity, She's got that star ability, and she's tough."

#DontFailMeNow is the perfect Olympics soundtrack – so go Team USA, go Melanie Amaro!
