Brandon Hines makes his NYC debut as an Epic artist

Brandon Hines had a packed audience at the Drom, in New York City, fallin’ in love with his sultry voice last Tuesday 1 May.

Wearing a stunning brown leather jacket, over a fitted white shirt and tie, the R&B Epic Records singer-songwriter belted his edgy songs to fans, media and music critics at the Singersroom (the R&B online lifestyle magazine) hosted event.

Among the crowd was the CEO of Epic Records, and The X Factor judge, L.A. Reid along with soul singer Chrisette Michele and Jermaine Dupri, with whom he’s previously worked with.

Brandon, who’s been called a modern day Marvin Gaye and Luther Vandross, reflected on his journey since his debut album in 2006 and thanked his fans for their dedicated support over the years. It’s been an incredible journey for the singer who started his music career while in college, leading to him being crowned “Mr. Howard University”!

The highlight of this show, his first debut performance in NYC as an Epic Records artist, came when he performed his current single “Yes You Are” as well as a new song called “War” that he recorded for his upcoming album.

His smooth vocals definitely had the crowd asking for more, so no wonder Brandon was Estelle’s “American Boy”, opening her most recent US tour. He has also been featured on MTV’s Total Request Live as one of the hot new artists to look out for in 2008.

And from the crowds’ reaction, we’re confident he will be even hotter in 2012.
