Bonnie McKee Makes The Hollywood Reporters "Music's 35 Top Hitmakers" List

She's the pen behind Katy Perry, Rita Ora, Britney Spears and Ke$h'a's massive pop hits! Do the songs "How We Do", "California Gurls", "Hold It Against Me" ring a bell? Well, within the last three years, singer/songwriter Bonnie McKee has completely dominated the pop world with her wild writing style. No wonder The Hollywood Reporter put her in the Top 10 on their "Music's 35 Top Hitmakers" list.

“It kept going up step by step by step where the names kept getting bigger and the sessions started getting more real,” McKee says, noting that Perry’s four million-selling “California Gurls” feels like her first real hit.

As a solo artist, Bonnie is working on a new album she describes as “what Blondie would do in 2013”. Meanwhile, she's also been working McKee has been working with Cobra Starship, Glee's Lea Michele and is prepping for Katy's Perry’s next album. “I’m always writing because I’m always inspired,” she says. “The whole world is full of song titles.”
