(July 29, 2016 – New York, NY) Multi-platinum artist, music industry visionary, innovative influencer, mogul, mega-producer, and Anthem King DJ Khaled officially kicks off the first ever #EpicSummer campaign today with the release of his highly anticipated ninth full-length album, MAJOR KEY on We The Best Music Group/Epic Records. #EpicSummer is an immersive campaign in partnership with Apple Music and iTunes, that includes exclusive content, performances and money-can’t-buy experiences across online, TV, print, and social media. The news was announced today by LA Reid, Chairman and CEO, Epic Records. Watch #EpicSummer sizzle reel HERE.

Beginning today, MAJOR KEY will be available exclusively on Apple Music and iTunes before the album’s physical release at retail on Friday, August 5th.

With two bonafide Top 10 hits already under its belt – the RIAA gold “For Free” (featuring Drake), and “I Got the Keys” (featuring Future and JAY Z), MAJOR KEY has just spun off a third single, “Holy Key” (featuring Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, and Khaled’s fellow Miami legend Betty Wright). The album features appearances by the biggest names in hip-hop, R&B and pop as Khaled, known as the Quincy Jones of hip-hop and R&B has also brought Kanye West, Meghan Trainor, Nas, Rick Ross, J. Cole, Lil Wayne,
Fabolous, Jeezy, YG, and Nicki Minaj onboard MAJOR KEY, just to name a few.

Khaled kicked off the release of MAJOR KEY with an epic performance yesterday on Good Morning America, and a huge shout-out this morning on Live With Kelly. Khaled also revealed details of a special #FanLuv experience taking place at Apple’s SoHo retail store at 7 pm ET tonight. Khaled will return to New York on Labor Day, September 5th, for a special one-hour takeover of Live With Kelly!, to include a rare DJ set.

Earlier in June, Khaled revealed the MAJOR KEY cover art on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (after the Snapchat king – with over 7 million followers – volunteered as Kimmel’s Snapchat instructor earlier in the year). Later that week in June came Khaled’s classic BET Awards appearance and the exclusive premiere of the video for “I Got the Keys” on the Post-Show.

With Khaled’s vision, JAY-Z’s legendary wordplay, and Future’s otherworldly knack for a transcendent hook, “I Got the Keys” is a musical dynamo of downright epic proportions. Directed by Daniel Kaufman, the “I Got the Keys” video boasts cameos from some of the biggest names in rap and pop culture, looking their finest, sporting dapper suits, and exuding charisma and charm – including T.I., Rick Ross, Swizz Beats, Yo Gotti, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, Bryson Tiller, Fabolous, and A$AP Ferg, as well as Future and JAY-Z in a rare and much sought-after music video appearance. With this cast, narrative, and visuals, “I Got the Keys”is ready for the box office and stands poised to leave an indelible impact on music history.

Prior to the arrival of “I Got the Keys,” Khaled joined Apple’s Beats 1 host Zane Lowe to premiere the hit single “For Free” which has been a radio staple ever since. Khaled has his own weekly show on Beats 1 called We The Best Radio and last night during a special 2-hour listening party, he played MAJOR KEY front to back for his Beats 1 fans. Khaled is also stars in two Apple Music commercials, one alongside supermodel Naomi Campbell, and one alongside the brilliant Ray Liotta. Khaled is currently on this month’s cover of Complex magazine.

The exclusive release of MAJOR KEY on Apple Music officially kicks off #EpicSummer. As part of this campaign, Epic artists and music will be featured on Apple Music as well as on the iTunes store display online. In addition to DJ Khaled, the campaign will headline new music on a weekly basis from Epic artists Travis Scott, Big Boi, André 3000, Future, French Montana, Yo Gotti, Zara Larsson, Jidenna, Kent Jones, Blac Youngsta, Nick Grant, A Tribe Called Quest, Casey Veggies, and Candice Boyd.

JIDENNA RELEASES NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR “LITTLE BIT MORE” ON VEVO

(July 27, 2016 – New York, NY) – GRAMMY® Award-nominated, platinum-certified artist and producer Jidenna uncovers the cinematic music video for his brand new single, “Little Bit More” on VEVO today. Watch it HERE. The song heralds the impending arrival of his highly anticipated full-length debut LP, Long Live the Chief [Wondaland Records/Epic Records], due out this Fall.

“Little Bit More” takes 007-style jet-setting, runway-ready panache, and timeless charisma and shakes it up with Jidenna’s clever wordplay, impressive bars, and Afrobeats-infused production. During the visual, he rides a speedboat on clear blue water to an exotic locale rendezvousing with an equally breathtaking beauty. Sparks fly in the narrative and on the hook. It’s immersive, inimitable, and irresistible just like everything he does.

Jidenna is quietly becoming 2016’s most important artist. He recently ignited the sold out Barclays Center in Brooklyn during One Africa Music Fest alongside the likes of Wizkid, Davido, Tiwa Savage, and many more. Jidenna kicked off the summer in June with a stand-out performance live on the BET Awards Pre-Show debuting two new songs, “Little Bit More” and “Chief Don’t Run,” which were met with acclaim by both fans and critics alike.

Critics have been enthusiastically fueling anticipation for Long Live The Chief. Stereogum declares that “Little Bit More” is “perfect to make the summer just a bit hotter,” while XXL states, “Jidenna winds slow, demonstrating an interest in discovering just what preferences his dance party may hold.” Noisey praises the writing on “Chief Don’t Run” and reveals a relief that “it’s good to know the Chief is still in business. Hail to him.” Rolling Stone writes, “Above an infectious beat, Jidenna is still showing off his bravado,” while The Source describes how “Jidenna mixes confidence with vulnerability.”

Jidenna leads by example. Confidently standing at the intersection of high fashion, globetrotting, acitivism, and groundbreaking art, Long Live The Chief functions as a statement for modern music and culture at large. Leading up to its release, he’s reached numerous milestones over the last year and a half. After being certified platinum and peaking at number #1 on Rhythmic Radio, “Classic Man” [feat. Roman GianArthur] received a GRAMMY® Award nod for “Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.” The success of this anthemic record earned Jidenna the 2015 Soul Train Award for Best New Artist. With show-stopping performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, American Idol, and both the 2015 & 2016 BET Awards, Jidenna continues to light up stages across the globe. Born in Wisconsin, raised in Nigeria, and living in cities across the U.S. including Los Angeles, the SF Bay Area, Atlanta, and Brooklyn, Jidenna possesses a cultivated perspective with the power to speak and to connect listeners everywhere. That’s precisely what he’s doing now.

Zipper Club Premiere New Video “Going The Distance”

“What do you get when you combine Mason James of garage rock band Cerebral Ballzy and singer-songwriter Lissy Trullie? Zipper Club, the duo’s new project, answers that question with their debut single, “Going The Distance.”

For James, Zipper Club’s mellowed-out sound and catchy hooks mark a vast departure from his raucous punk days. He sees the band as a “huge change and not a logical one”—yet upon hearing the pop-tinged tracks, you begin to make sense of James and Trullie’s shared knack for lyricism and songwriting.

Directed by James alongside Jason Hogg, the video for “Going The Distance” sets the infectious track in a desert. The camera pans in on a bright red car driven by two long-haired kidnappers who hold the members of Zipper Club hostage. The musicians are blindfolded and led through the terrain toward the inner circle of a cult.” – NYLON

Meghan Trainor Covers Billboard Magazine

Meghan Trainor is one of those famous people who still can’t believe she’s famous. So when she spots a 40-something woman lying in wait, grinning at her through the glass doors of New York’s Greenwich Hotel, she just makes a mental note. Who has time for paranoia, anyway?

“Ain’t a thing,” she says and steps outside, flanked by her publicist, manager, assistant-slash-best-friend JoJo (real name: Jordan Federman) and a single bodyguard. Then the waiting woman makes her move — a dance move.

“ ’You know I’m all about that bass, ’bout that bass!’ ” the woman sings, proudly shaking her own ass to the lyrics of Trainor’s ubiquitous curvy-girls empowerment anthem, “All About That Bass.” “I thought it was you! You go, girl! Did you lose weight? You look good!”
As soon as she’s in the car, Trainor, 22, bursts out laughing. “She scared me, looking in there and staring at me. I was like, ‘Eeeeehhhhh!’ All she wanted to do was tell me I look good! I feel like someone paid her to do that.”

Today, with vibrant red hair and wearing all-black everything, the real-life Meghan Trainor most resembles the vixen she plays, writhing around an industrial future devoid of men, in the video for “No,” the lead single from her second album, Thank You (released in May), and her fourth Billboard Hot 100 top 10 (it reached No. 3). It’s a stark contrast to the blonde, pastel-clad, oversize-bow-sporting Meghan Trainor from the ’50s time-warp video for “All About That Bass,” her breakthrough smash, which spent eight weeks leading the Hot 100. In the two short years between those hits, Trainor — who writes or co-writes her own songs — has notched two other No. 1 singles (“Lips Are Movin’ ” and “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” with John Legend), won the 2016 Grammy for best new artist and two Billboard Music Awards, and saw her debut album, Title, and Thank You debut at Nos. 1 and 3 on the Billboard 200, respectively.” – Billboard
