BIG BOI LAUNCHES THIRD SOLO ALBUM BOOMIVERSE IN JUNE

(April 20, 2017 –Los Angeles, CA) Big Boi returns with his highly-anticipated third full-length solo album and first release for Epic Records, Boomiverse, in June. The six-time GRAMMY® Award-winning, RIAA diamond-certified hip-hop luminary, producer, and member of OutKast unveils two new songs in anticipation of the album’s impending arrival.

First up, Zane Lowe globally premieres “Mic Jack” [feat. Adam Levine] to audiences worldwide on Apple Music’s Beats 1 April 20 at 9:30am PT as his latest “World Record.” In addition, Big Boi grants Lowe an exclusive interview about “Mic Jack,” Boomiverse, and much more. Big Boi will also reveal a second new song “Kill Jill” [feat. Killer Mike & Jeezy]. Boomiverse isn’t just a new galaxy for Big Boi; it’s a new galaxy for hip-hop at large.

Produced by DJ Dahi [Kendrick Lamar, Drake] and DJ Khalil [Eminem, A$AP Rocky], “Mic Jack” pairs the rapper’s inimitable groove and flow with a seismically catchy hook courtesy of Levine. Meanwhile, “Kill Jill” stands out as an exercise in true Atlanta swagger and raw lyrical fireworks, uniting Killer Mike, Jeezy, and Big Boi on a hyper-charged banger.

On April 24, Big Boi takes over the stage at NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for the first television performance of “Mic Jack.”

One of history’s tightest and most clever rhyme mavericks, Big Boi’s indelible influence courses throughout two generations of rap music. As one-half of OutKast, he achieved six GRAMMY®Awards, sold 25 million records, and created a string of music’s most influential work, including Aquemini, Stankonia, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, and Speakerboxxx/The Love Below—which went RIAA Diamond making OutKast the first and only hip-hop artist in history to win the GRAMMY® for ‘Album of the Year.’ Big Boi’s 2010 solo debut, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, bowed at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 and received unanimous critical acclaim with Pitchfork proclaiming it one of the “100 Best Albums of the Decade ‘So Far’” and topping year-end lists from Time, Paste, Vibe, and more.

His 2012 follow-up Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors enamored tastemakers and fans alike and boasted collaborations with A$AP Rocky, Killer Mike, Kid Cudi, and more. In 2015, Big Boi collaborated with Phantogram to create supergroup Big Grams. Their debut self-titled album was released to critical and fan delight.

FRENCH MONTANA LAUNCHES TWO NEW SONGS “UNFORGETTABLE” & “NO PRESSURE”

(April 7, 2017 – New York, NY) – Coke Boys Music / Bad Boy Entertainment / Epic Records’ Grammy nominated, worldwide platinum-selling hip-hop icon, and philanthropist French Montana launches two new hit songs “Unforgettable (feat Swae Lee)” and “No Pressure (feat Future)” now available on all streaming platforms.

French found the inspiration for his upcoming “Unforgettable” music video after watching a dance video of Uganda’s Triplets Ghetto Kids on Youtube. The kids’ joyous street dancing inspired French to travel to his motherland of Africa to witness their moves up close and personal. While there, he was completely moved and energized by them as they showed him around their village, reminding him of his childhood growing up in Morocco, North Africa before he moved to New York with his family at the age of 13.

The poignant return to his motherland in Africa is underscored by French’s strong connection to the Triplets Ghetto Kids, and to the emotional crowds of Kampala locals who embraced him on his journey. The pure joy they take in their music and dancing transcends the extreme poverty of the region. The entire project, now the subject of a deeply uplifting documentary film as well, also pays homage to French’s parents, who’s wedding day photograph in Morocco graces the “Unforgettable” track cover artwork.

FUTURE COVERS BILLBOARD!!

Atlanta Rap Hero Future on Making Chart History and Kicking It With ‘Superstar Females’

The Atlanta rap god Future, like other gods before him, is known by many names. He was born Nayvadius Wilburn into a family of street hustlers going back at least two generations. As a kid he picked up the moniker Meathead, both for his oversize dome and, later, his general gangster toughness. When he began rapping in his teens at his cousin Rico Wade’s Dungeon studio — where OutKast was busy reinventing hip-hop — he was given the name Future (as in “the future of music,” which is kind of mind-blowing, coming from a place making tunes like “So Fresh, So Clean”). And to his friends he’s mostly known as Pluto, which is all at once the title of his 2012 major-label debut, a metaphor for getting supremely high and a symbol of the scale of his ambitions. “I’m the astronaut kid,” he says, impassive behind a pair of ever-present sunglasses. “At the end of the day, I’m out of here — above anything.”

The previous week, Future had surprised fans with the self-titled album (his sixth, not counting the hit packed mixtapes he has released through his own Freebandz label), which landed at No. 1, becoming his fourth consecutive album to do so. Then, in a move unprecedented in chart history, HNDRXX arrived just seven days later and replaced Future in the top spot. (Epic Records says the two albums will also be combined into a physical release later this year.) Future’s clearly pleased with the success but insists that he values authenticity more than numbers. “If I’m the biggest artist in the world, cool, but I want to just be me,” he says. “I want my money to be different. I’m not trying to have rapper money. My goal is to be able to get everything from the world that I can get.”
