“Mariah Carey is taking fans beyond the glitz and tabloid rumors and into her private life for the upcoming documentary series Mariah’s World.
The E! Entertainment series will feature eight one-hour episodes that follow Carey as she prepares for her Sweet Fantasy tour, which sweeps across multiple continents, while planning her wedding to James Packer.
“Forget the image, forget the rumors. I owe this to the fans,” Carey can be heard announcing toward the beginning of the video. The minute and a half trailer features behind-the-scenes footage from tour rehearsals, intimate conversations, red carpet appearances and a classic Carey moment where she explains her rule of wearing sunglasses whenever she’s in florescent light — adding, “I know it’s very ’90s.” – Deadline

For the first time in Billboard Music Awards history, viewers on the West Coast will watch the show live along with fellow fans on the East Coast. Trainor joins previously announced performers Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, DNCE, The Go-Go’s, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes, P!nk, Rihanna, “Kia’s One to Watch” Troye Sivan, Britney Spears, and collaborations with Fifth Harmony featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Nick Jonas with Tove Lo, and Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, and Madonna will pay tribute to Prince.
GRAMMY®-winning Best New Artist Meghan Trainor has just released her highly-anticipated new album Thank You (Epic Records). Thank You is the follow up to her platinum debut Title, which bowed at #1 on the Billboard 200 and was one of seven albums to sell a million copies in 2015. The lead single from Thank You is fiery, feisty kiss-off anthem “NO,” which is already a platinum-selling hit, reaching #1 on the iTunes singles chart and #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Trainor’s new single “Me Too” impacts radio on May 16th. Meghan teamed up with producer Ricky Reed for the track who, along with Meghan, serves as the album’s co-executive producer.
Billboard Music Awards finalists are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify and other popular online destinations for music. These measurements are tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. The awards are based on the reporting period of tracking dates March 23, 2015 through March 17, 2016 and Billboard chart dates April 11, 2015 through April 2, 2016. Since 1940, the Billboard charts have been the go-to guide for ranking the popularity of songs and albums, and are the ultimate measure of a musician’s success.
The “2016 Billboard Music Awards” sponsors and partners include Comcast, Kia Motors, Las Vegas, Music Choice, T-Mobile and WestwoodOne.
Meghan Trainor Takes a Tumble But Is All Smiles On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon!
“Meghan Trainor just had to laugh. She’d just pulled off a high-energy performance of her new single “Me Too” on The Tonight Show. Wearing a body-hugging sparkly blue dress and glittery high heels, she shook it for the camera, worked the stage while singing her face off into a bedazzled microphone and led the band in a big rock and roll finish.
It was great. Until right at the end there, when she took a bad step as the song was coming to a raucous close and crashed to the ground while trying to grab the mic stand to regain her balance. Never one to fake the funk, Trainor took it like a champ, laying flat out on the floor and laughing at herself while host Jimmy Fallon rushed over to see if she was okay.
Still giggling about the slip-up, Trainor stayed on her back with a big smile, so Fallon joined her, laying down next to the “NO” singer and laughing along with her. “Of every single dance move, grabbing the mic is the toughest,” Fallon said. “Standing ovation for Meghan Trainor, everybody!” And the audience complied as Fallon helped Trainor back to her feet and she saluted and smiled.”

CHEVELLE REVEAL NEW ALBUM THE NORTH CORRIDOR IN STORES EVERYWHERE JULY 8
Multiplatinum alternative rock band Chevelle return with their eighth full-length album, The North Corridor [Epic Records], available in stores and through all digital retailers July 8, 2016. The online pre-order is live now at this link: http://smarturl.it/TheNorthCorridor
Just last night, the Chicago trio unveiled the first single “Joyride (Omen).” It’s available for purchase HERE.
The North Corridor follows up 2014’s critically acclaimed La Gárgola, which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 upon release and earned the group its highest chart position yet. Marking their third consecutive collaboration, the band teamed up with producer Joe Barresi [Queens of the Stone Age, Tool, Coheed and Cambria] for the record’s ten tracks. With its thick guitars, hauntingly hypnotic vocals, and crushing rhythm, “Joyride (Omen)” siphons the aggression of early Chevelle, while boldly progressing once again. The entire tracklisting can be found below.
In support of the album, the band hits the road this summer on a co-headline tour with alternative legends Bush beginning July 23 at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, OH. In addition, they play a series of key rock festivals and radio shows across the country. Confirmed schedule is enclosed. More U.S. tour dates through October will be announced Tuesday May 17.
Since the release of their full-length debut Point #1 in 1999, Chevelle have stood at the forefront of hard rock, consistently evolving and progressing while delivering a series of ubiquitous and unescapable anthems. 2002’s breakout Wonder What’s Next would go platinum, yielding smashes such as “The Red” and “Send the Pain Below,” while its follow-up This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In reached gold status. In 2011, Hats Off to the Bull landed at #9 on the Billboard Top 200 and delivered “Face to the Floor.” La Gárgola crashed into the Top 5 at #3 and boasted “Take Out the Gunman.” The North Corridor is a new place altogether for the band in 2016.
