Future Wins At The 2016 BET Awards! Lights Up The Stage With Fiery Performance Of ‘Wicked’

“Future lit up the BET Awards, quite literally, with his fiery performance of “Wicked” off his Purple Reign mixtape.

Dressed in a leather jacket, shades, jeans and a bandana around his head, Future Hendrix walked through the smoky stage as flames shot up in the background. The appearance was without bells and whistles—there were no guest artists, or songs other than the one at hand—and Future kept a strictly one-track mind.

Earlier in the night, Future came to the stage to accept the award for Best Group on behalf of himself and Drake for their collaborative album What a Time to Be Alive. He most recently was heavily featured on DJ Esco’s mixtape Project E.T.: Esco Terrestrial, which also included guest appearances from Young Thug, Juicy J, Rich Homie Quan, and more”. – Rap-Up

EPIC Fest 2016 – DJ Khaled, Future, French Montana & More!

One of the hottest tickets during BET Week was the second annual EpicFest at Los Angeles’ Sony Studios on Saturday (June 25). Among the performers who commanded the stage during the late afternoon four-hour fest were Future and DJ Khaled.

“I’m fresh off that Beyoncé stage,” DJ Khaled shouted to the elbow-to-elbow crowd. “Let me give you a taste of what that was like.”
In addition to running through a montage of his greatest hits, DJ Khaled brought out protégé Kent Jones, who performed his hot summer hit “Don’t Mind.” Then Busta Rhymes made a surprise appearance, ramping up the energetic crowd with his throwback classic ”Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See” as well as his verse from Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now.”

Future, who performed at last year’s inaugural EpicFest, returned this year as its headliner. The rapper performed his new hit “Low Life,” along with “Jumpman,” “Where Ya At” and more of his Hot 100 charting hits.
Rounding out the lineup were performances by rock group KONGOS, French Montana, Jidenna, Kat Dahlia, Timeflies and Lil Jon. Dancing around the crowd throughout the afternoon and into the evening: Epic chairman/CEO L.A. Reid.

DJ Khaled Reveals The ‘Major Key’ Album Cover Live on Jimmy Kimmel

“DJ Khaled continued to bless up on the late-night TV circuit after paying Jimmy Kimmel another visit to share the cover for his upcoming album Major Key, which features the We the Best CEO sitting on a throne in a flower-filled garden and a real-life lion (two of his favorite things).
“The album cover is 100 percent … authentic of what I represent, from my spiritual vibes to my beliefs and not just that, a certain energy that I keep around me — positivity but at the same time, as a king,” explains Khaled.
After roaring applause for his cover, Khaled said that an insurance guy tried to vote against the real-life lion for the album cover, to which he responded, “Don’t ever play yourself. My fans want to see the real deal.”
He also discussed how he plans to Snapchat his son’s birth. “I’m having a boy — my first child,” said the beaming first-time dad. “I want to Snapchat the whole birth.” When prompted about his fiancee’s thoughts on the matter, Khaled offered, “The key is that I’m the king and every queen should support the king.” He notes that he’s also been playing Bob Marley and Jay Z for his child while putting photos of Michael Jordan and Muhammad Ali in the baby room he’s building.” – Billboard

Fifth Harmony Add A Sixth Member To Their Performance On The CMT Awards!

“They might not play Fifth Harmony’s videos on CMT, but on Wednesday night (June 8), the channel hosted the pop girl group to perform with country breakout star Cam at the 2016 CMT Music Awards.

5H started out providing backup vocals for Cam’s “Mayday,” looking striking in coordinated red gowns, before Dinah Jane joined in on the chorus. Next up was the group’s biggest hit to date, “Work From Home” — which currently sits at its peak of No. 4 on the Billboard Hit 100 — which Cam also pitched in on.” – Billboard
